"From field to table"

GALEKS-AGRO is a vertical integration of the companies (ORGANIC MILK LLC - ORGANIC MILK TM, ORGANIC MEAT product LLC - ORGANIC MEAT TM),  creating productive link from organic crops and livestock production to organic raw material processing at the first in Ukraine dairy plant ORGANIC MILK LLC, with the capacity of 30 tons a day, which produces only certified organic products.

PRODUCTION

GALEKS-AGRO

GALEKS-AGRO was founded in 2008.
The company's core business is the production of certified organic crop and livestock products, processing, and development of the organic market in Ukraine.


Crop production specialization: cereals and legumes.
The main crops grown are wheat, spelt, rye, barley, oats, pellet, beans, vetch, buckwheat, millet, soybeans, and corn.
Today, the farm grows products on an area of more than 10 thousand hectares and is certified as organic.

 

Livestock specialization: breeding cattle of the Simmental meat and dairy breed.

All GALEKS-AGRO products are certified by the international certification body ORGANIC STANDARD, meet the requirements of the Equivalent Standard for Organic Production and Processing for Third Countries, which is equivalent to Council Regulations (EC) No. 834/2007 and No. 889/2008, are approved as organic and meet the requirements of the Bio Suisse standard (Switzerland).


In 2022, GALEKS-AGRO became the first company in Ukraine to receive a certificate of conformity in accordance with the requirements of the Ukrainian legislation in the field of organic production, circulation and labeling of organic products.

Here's how it all started...

Mr. YUSHCHENKO has been making natural wood products since 1991 (MIRT Furniture Factory). In 2008, he visited the international organic trade fair BIOFACH in Nuremberg, Germany. Before that, he had no experience in the agricultural sector. It was at the exhibition that he had a strong desire to have a reference enterprise in his homeland that would restore fertile Ukrainian soil, benefit people, and take care of the future of our children.

 

On his way back, he bought a tractor in Germany and started a company called GALEKS-AGRO when he got home.

 

For Oleksandr Yushchenko, "organic is a philosophy". This means that you need to know and feel each part of the production process. That way, you can make sure that they work effectively and complement each other.

HISTORY

2008

- Development of 2000 hectares
- Certification as “organic transition”
- Purchase of machinery, creation of technical and economic base

2009

- Opening of the first seminar “All-Ukrainian Organic Field Day” within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Organic Certification and Organic Market Development in Ukraine”

2010

- Creation of a modern European-style dairy complex with a capacity of 500 heads of cattle of the Simmental meat and dairy breed
- Expansion of land area to 5,736 hectares
- Certification of products by the Institute of Environmental Marketing (ISO), Switzerland

2011

- The company becomes the first organic producer in Ukraine to be certified according to European standards
- Entry into the European market (Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy) to sell grain
- The total volume of export is 3,000 tons

2012

- The company becomes a partner of the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Organic Market Development in Ukraine”.
- Construction and reconstruction of a cattle breeding facility for 850 heads of cattle begins
- An additional 359 heads of Simmental breeding heifers are imported

2013

- The company is certified by the international certification body “Organic Standard”

2014

- The first certified dairy plant in Ukraine for the production of organic dairy products from own raw materials with a capacity of 30 tons per day was put into operation
- The company was granted the status of a breeding reproducer for the breeding of Simmental cattle (Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine No. 334/197)

2017

- A fruiting walnut orchard with an area of 50 hectares was established

2019

- Started processing its own raw materials, cereals and flour

2022

- The company becomes the first in Ukraine to receive a certificate of conformity in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine on organic production, circulation and labeling of organic products

2024

- A new packaging shop was built
- The company acquired a millstone mill
